Just over 4 years ago Hotel California's first event held in Sydney created a successful event with live music + San Diego pin up couture line: Romantic Rock Designs!
Four years later Hotel California has been held in various countries and locations from Los Angeles, San Francisco, Las Vegas, New York City, Philadelphia, Hawaii, Melbourne and of course it's home of San Diego, California.
We are now excited to announce the return of Hotel California to the shores of SURFER'S PARADISE on Friday February 17, 2012 @ The Surfer's Paradise Beer Garden from 8PM.
With the amazing talent of bands and/or acoustic sets from world renown musicians and bands and visual artists on exhibit..... Romantic Rock Productions is thrilled to announce their tour of 2012 Australian shows.
Romantic Rock Designs with the help of local Gold Coast gorgeous ladies ...will be strutting the 2012 collection down the catwalk each night with 2 full length fashion shows. In addition each show will have 2 amazing bands on the night: FRIENDS WITH THE ENEMY + KAMIKAZEE THUNDERCATS (cover set)
Richard “Jamie” Oliver from TheLostProphet's will have his amazing artworks on exhibit + local Gold Coast DJ spinning the best tunes all night long!

The Beer Garden located on the corner of Cavill and Orchid Ave is bringing ‘Inked Beauties’ back to the coast.
Due to popular demand this innovative competition is back and bigger than ever. Samantha Plant, the founder of Prestige Productions, and the force behind “Inked Beauties” is once again on the search for the most beautiful catwalk models who wear their ink with pride.
Prestige Productions has been accomplished in changing people’s views of these beautiful tattooed catwalk models, and has been instrumental in changing the perceptions of the promotion industry. Prestige Productions hosted ‘Inked Beauties’ 2011 in Brisbane, Gold Coast, Hervey Bay and Sunshine Coast, and the competition in 2012 will be expanded to include Bundaberg, Gladstone, Rockhampton and Mackay.
Samantha is a progressive and dynamic young woman, who believes every model deserves a chance to display their beauty, without being discriminated against for showing their art.
The Beer garden will host 3 heats and a semi final. Heats are 9th, 16th, and the 23rd March with the finals taking place on the 30th March, with lots of prizes to be won.
3 finalists will be chosen to compete in the Grand Final on the Sunshine Coast for major cash and prizes in June.

NATIONAL SLAM DAY - 23RD FEBRUARY 2012
On 23rd February 2010, the SLAM rally saw 20,000 people march through Melbourne to the tune of AC/DC’s definitive ‘Long Way to the Top’, in protest against the Victorian Government’s misguided policy link between live music and violence. Out on the streets of our city, we showed our support and love for a truly great live music community.
The SLAM rally was the largest cultural protest in Australia’s history. Now all of Australia has the opportunity to participate in a national event that celebrates our local musicians in our small venues.
Music communities around Australia are now invited to unite in support of our thriving live culture by hosting their own National SLAM Day gigs. On Thursday 23rd February 2012, support your local artists and venues by getting out and experiencing the spontaneous excitement and intimacy you only get at a live music venue.
